Steven Curtis Chapman's youngest daughter, Maria Sue, has been killed in a tragic car accident at their home. You can read more here and here. He and his wife have adopted 3 girls from China. As you can imagine, their family and friends are absolutely devastated. I simply cannot imagine being blessed by a delightful daughter from China for the Lord to take her only a few short years later (I think she was around 5 years old.) Maria Sue is the daughter the Lord placed on Steven's heart to adopt after doing humanitarian work at her orphanage. He was not planning on adding another child to their family. And she stole their hearts.
The Chapmans are very well known within the China adoptive community and have a foundation that grants scholarships to help families adopt from China. Pray for them at this horrible time of loss.

Words to Live By
James 1:12 - Anyone who meets a testing challenge head-on and manages to stick it out is mighty fortunate. For such persons loyally in love with God, the reward is life and more life. (MSG)
